About us
CONNECTING PEOPLE AND PLANET, ALUNA IS
A BEACON FOR A NEW EMERGING CULTURE
Welcome to our new fundraising page and the growing Aluna Comoonity. By donating to Aluna you'll be joining a collective responsible for creating the world’s largest Moon Clock and contribute to UK and world heritage for future generations.
Larger than Stonehenge, Aluna will be located at 0° longitude on the Greenwich Peninsula. Three vast recycled glass rings will track the Moon’s cycles and influences on the Earth with slowly moving light. Designed by artist Laura Williams as a place of celebration and connection for people and planet, Aluna’s rings will create a public space for international festival, education and community events. Sustainably built and powered naturally by the Sun’s light and the Moon and River Thames’ tides, Aluna will run for generations to come. Aluna is time and place for everyone.
The Aluna Foundation, charity no. 1130613 registered in England and Wales, was founded to develop and deliver the Aluna landmark and its associated public engagement programmes for the public good. To date, Aluna’s development has largely been made possible by in kind and financial support from businesses and individuals. Donors and partners will be acknowledged on Aluna’s website as well as on site at Aluna, and we look forward to updating you about how your support is making an impact. If you are a UK tax payer, please check the GiftAid declaration as your donation will be increased by a further 25% at no cost to you.
Subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated on project developments and other future ways you can help us bring Aluna to life, such as sponsoring one of Aluna’s recycled glass bricks, purchasing ethical merchandise, or participating in our peer-to-peer funding drive.
All donations generated will go directly towards funding the project team who are planning Aluna's journey through its final development and construction phase. We are immensely grateful for your support at this vital stage in Aluna's journey to realisation on the banks of the River Thames in London.
